Anti Israel Bigot is Also an anti Quebec Bigot

Thomas Hubert, our favorite character from this summers antisemitic fiasco is also fiercely anti -Quebecois aswell.

To: Canadian Parliament
We, the undersigned Canadians, oppose recognition of any province as a 'nation,' and call on our elected representatives to work instead for a united, equal Canada.

Sincerely,

34. Thomas Hubert

  • Opposing formal recognition of a Quebec nation hardly qualifies one as an "anti Quebeec bigot".

I suppose I could call you an "anti-North bigot" because you think that the territories shouldnt have the same representation as provinces on the national executive.

  • Not sure what you're trying to say pebbles. Surely you're not implying that people who signed the petition are anti-Quebec?

  • Dear Pebbles,

I like you, I really do.
But on this one, you are so totally wrong!

1.I am a French Canadian, born and living in Québec. I am against the recognition of Quebecers or Québécois (your choice)as a nation. Does that make me an anti-Québécois? I think not!

I don't know where you live, but if you were a francophone federalist (like me)from the Province of Québec, you would know what it's like living everyday with juvenile nationalists.

2.I often disagree with the Israel government's politics and actions.
Does that make me an antisemitic? I think not!

    Take care,
    see you in Montréal,

  • There are prominent supporters of every major leadership campaign on that petition which opposes the formal recognition of a Quebec nation, and hundreds of other Canadians by now.

And you are calling us all anti-Quebec? Seriously?

  • Pebbles, what is up with this post?

Those who signed are anti-Quebec BIGOTS? Get a grip before hitting town, won't you?

I'm a proud Quebecer and I happily signed a petition against ethnic nationalism.

If you'd like to discuss the 'bigotry' of federalist Quebecers, come find me at the Liblogs suite and we can have a nice chat.
